Every year thousands of Sled Dogs are abandoned, lost or for some other reason find themselves without a good home. This is a tragic and unfortunate situation, but help is at hand. Thanks to the kindness, dedication and sheer bloody-mindedness of dog lovers all over the country a lot of these dogs find new, permanent & loving homes.

While we have the ability to advertise dogs for rehoming here on our site we no longer maintain an active directory of dogs available for rehoming as we have done in the past. We maintained an active listing page for 10 years from 2000 to 2010 which we are proud to say helped over 80 dogs find new, permanent homes.

If you are looking to give a sled dog a new home you could try contacting the associations below.

There are a number of Welfare Associations in the UK & abroad, we have listed the main ones here but this list is in no way comprehensive. Alternatively you could search for welfare/rescue associations in your area. There are always dogs out there needing a new home!
